The Hamas leader Salah al-Bardawil, along with other Hamas leaders, has visited the Lebanon-based Ain al-Helwa refugee camp.
The delegation got around the refugee camp and met with representatives of Palestinian and Islamic factions.
The Hamas officials started the tour by visiting a number of neighbourhoods to check on the Palestinian refugees residing in the camp. They were briefed on the economic situation there and the hardships of the Palestinian people including overpopulation and insecurity.
Furthermore, the Hamas delegation also visited the Islamic factions in Lebanon. The tour was rounded off with meeting Islamic, Arab, and Palestinian figures.
The Hamas officials received a warm welcome from the Palestinian residents of the camp, who hailed the steadfastness and resistance of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The delegation, in turn, praised the determination and defiance of Ain al-Helwa refugee camp in spite of all the serious threats the Palestinian refugees have been experiencing, especially the so-called ‘Deal of the Century’.
Al-Bardawil mentioned that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are determined to get their basic rights from the Israeli occupation, highlighting that the last Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip united all the Palestinian resistance factions in one operation room.
The senior Hamas leader concluded that the Palestinian people, with unity and reconciliation, are able to foil the ‘Deal of the Century’ and all the schemes targeting the Palestinian cause.
