A Hamas delegation, headed by the group’s member of politburo Ez’zt al-Rasheq, met on Tuesday with Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Biuret.
In a press release, al-Rasheq confirmed that both sides discussed the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and the challenges facing it amid the US administration’s bias towards the Israeli Occupation.
Al-Rasheq demonstrated that both parties highlighted the Israeli siege on Gaza, the Palestinian reconciliation issue, and the relations between Hamas and Fatah, especially after the latest “regretful developments” over the past days.
The delegation assured Berri that Hamas was keen on achieving the national reconciliation and that it made all concessions possible to end the internal rift.
Al-Rasheq noted that the delegation discussed with Berri the situation of Lebanon’s Palestinian refugees and reiterated the necessity to grant them civil rights.
