Hamas official Sami Abu Zohri denounced an Israeli delegation’s plan to take part in Expo 2020 in Dubai as “serious development.”
In a tweet, Abu Zohri called on the United Arab Emirates not to “get involved in that “form of normalisation with the Israeli occupation”.
Abu Zohri added that this participation not only encourages the Israeli occupation to commit more crimes against the Palestinian people, but also breaches the outcomes of Tunisia Summit.
The Israeli occupation said Thursday that it would participate in Expo 2020 in Dubai in what Netanyahu described as a “sign of his country’s improved standing in the Gulf region.”
The global trade exhibition is due to open on October 20, 2020 and close on April 10, 2021.
The scale of normalisation between the Israeli occupation and some Arab states has increased recently through the Israeli participation in sports and cultural events, held in Arab nations.
