Hamas receives Egypt intelligence delegation

Hamas leadership, including the movement’s chief Ismail Haniyeh and politburo members Yehya al-Sinwar, Khalil al-Hayya, and Rawhi Mushtaha, received on Friday afternoon a delegation from the Egyptian intelligence services.

The Palestinian national unity, the bilateral relations, the ceasefire talks with the Israeli occupation, and the suffering of the Palestinian people were among the topics addressed by the Egyptian security delegation, led by Gen. Ayman Badea and Gen. Ahmad Abdel Khaleq, and Hamas leadership. 

Citing the dangers posed to the Palestinian cause and the region, Hamas leadership put forward a positive position to achieve national unity, highlighting the importance for the Palestinian factions, based on national consensus, to set up a strategy to fight off the challenges facing the Palestinian cause, above all the “Deal of the Century” and the Bahrain conference.

The Hamas leadership briefed the Egyptian security delegation on the Israeli occupation’s violations of the agreements and failure the enforce the ceasefire understandings with the Palestinian resistance. 

The resistance movement’s leadership highlighted the importance to bolster the Hamas-Egypt ties in a way that will boost collaboration in several fields to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially the Gaza’s residents.
