The Great March of Return will reach its peak on May 15 –the day which marks the 70th anniversary of the Nakba, Senior member of Hamas Political Bureau Khalil al-Hayya said on Sunday.

During the funeral of four Palestinians killed in an explosion in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, Al-Hayya stated: "The Great March of Return is one of the tool used by the Palestinian resistance to confront the Israeli occupation."

He stressed that the “Israeli occupation should expect the massive crowds of the Palestinians taking part in the demonstrations of the Great March or Return, which will reach its peak on May 15.”

Al-Hayya stressed that the Palestinians “are moving towards the borders with no weapons in their hands,” calling for the international community to work on achieving the long-waited Palestinian right of return.

Meanwhile, the Hamas leader condemned the different parties, which have been running fast to normalise their relations with the Israeli occupation state.

He also stressed that “Palestine is undividable and the Palestinian rights are sacred and it will not be subject for talks, concession or compromise.”
