Israeli occupation snipers shot dead a 14-year-old Palestinian child and wounded 137 protesters during protests of 48th Friday of the Great March of Return.
The Palestinian ministry of health in Gaza identified the child as Yousef Said al-Daya, 14, stating that he was shot in the chest.
Meanwhile, field researchers of Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights counted 137 protesters wounded during the protests.
Protesters demand the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes in historical Palestine from which they were driven out by Zionist gangs in 1948 to make way for the creation of the self-proclaimed Israeli occupation state.
They also demand an end to the ongoing 12-year-old Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has gutted the coastal enclave’s economy and deprived its roughly two million inhabitants of many basic commodities.
According to Al-Mezan Centre, the Israeli occupation have killed 267 Palestinians since the start of the protests of the Great March of Return on March 30 and wounded 14,673 others.
