A senior Hamas delegation, headed by the movement’s deputy chief Saleh al-Aruri, met Monday with Leader of the Iranian Revolution Ali Khamenei in Tehran.
The delegation delivered a letter from Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh to Khamenei, briefing the Iranian supreme leader on the challenges posed to the Palestinian cause in light of the “deal of the Century” and the Palestinian steadfastness in the face of Israeli plans to judaize Jerusalem and its holy sites.
Stressing that the Palestinian resistance is still persevering the national constants, the delegation said that the Palestinian people of Gaza would stick to their option of resistance despite the crippling 13-year Israeli siege on the impoverished territory.
The delegation reiterated that Hamas condemns the US sanctions against Iran, stressing that this demeanor reflects the US aggressive mentality towards the region.
The Hamas officials also highlighted that the movement appreciated the Iranian support for the Palestinian people.
The head of the delegation Saleh al-Aruri confirmed that the Palestinian people would not abandon the option of resistance and will keep fighting for their rights until liberating their hometowns and villages from which they were forced out in 1948.
The supreme Iranian leader Khamenei said that he is proud of the Palestinian people and their steadfastness.
He also hailed Haniyeh’s letter and highlighted that Iran would continue supporting the Palestinian people.
