A delegation from Hamas met Thursday with Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Jalal Firouznia in the Iranian embassy in Beirut.
The Hamas delegation and Iranian envoy discussed the Palestinian situation, particularly the “deal of the century” among other schemes targeting the Palestinian cause, the Palestinian situation in Lebanon, and the bilateral relations both sides.
The delegations addressed the latest political developments concerning the Palestinian cause.
Ahmed Abdel Hadi, Hamas representative in Lebanon, reiterated that his movement would stick to the Palestinian rights and constants and would proceed with the option of resistance until Palestinian lands and holy sites are restored.
“The deal of the century is not bound to succeed,” stressed Abdel Hadi. “The Palestinian people are determined to face it off with all means possible.”
The Hamas delegation briefed the Iranian ambassador on the situation of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and the repercussions of the Labour Ministry’s measures against Palestinian workers.
Abdel-Hadi called on the Lebanese government to grant the Palestinian refugees their rights so that they could live a decent life.
Firouznia, in turn, welcomed the Hamas delegation, reaffirming the necessity to unify all efforts in support of the Palestinian people and their struggle against the Israeli occupation.
The Iranian envoy reiterated the necessity to bolster coordination and consultation to preserve unity among Islamic nations and support the Palestinian cause.
