Targeting Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons will spark a popular Palestinian action, member of Hamas Political Bureau Khalil al-Hayya said Friday.
While participating in the 75th Friday of the Great Return March east of Gaza, al-Hayya warned against suppressing the Palestinian detainees and backtracking on the understandings reached between the Israeli occupation and the prisoners to remove cellar jamming devices installed in Israeli prisons.
Al-Hayya reiterated that the Palestinian prisoner issue is a top priority for Hamas, which is “working day and night” to release them.
Commenting on the execution of a Palestinian woman by Israeli occupation forces, which was caught on camera, al-Hayya said that such crime would not dissuade the Palestinian people from the option of resistance.
Regarding Lebanese labour ministry’s measures against Palestinian workers, al-Hayya pointed out that this move went in line with the Israeli-US plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian refugee issue and implementing the “deal of the century.”
The senior Hamas official called on Lebanon to “respect” Palestinian refugees and reverse the “unfair” decision made by the labour ministry.
