Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh restated the movement’s commitment and willingness to stand for inclusive elections, including presidential, legislative, and Palestinian National Council elections.
In a press conference held after his meeting with a delegation from the Central Election Commission, Haniyeh stressed that Hamas would respect the vote result in case the election is held transparently and fairly.

Haniyeh added that he had discussed with Nasser many issues related to the transparency and integrity of the elections and how to restructure the Palestinian House.
The national position expressed by the Palestinian factions was positive and responsible, Haniyeh continued addressing the Palestinian people.
The Hamas chief highlighted the importance to restructure the Palestinian political system and the Palestine Liberation Organisation, stressing that Hamas is determined to achieve national unity and is willing to show flexibility to accomplish such goal.
