Khalid Meshal, former head of Hamas Political Bureau, send on Friday evening his sincere condolences to father of Islamic Jihad official Baha Abu Al-Ata, who was assassinated by Israeli occupation on Tuesday dawn.
In a phone call to Abu al-Ata’s father and Khalid al-Batsh, member of Islamic Jihad politburo, Meshal highlighted Hamas’ position in support of Islamic Jihad and the Abu al-Ata family.
Hailing the assassinated Islamic Jihad official as a national figure, Meshal offered his condolences to the leadership of al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad.
Meshal reiterated that the Palestinian resistance would continue defending its people against any Israeli aggression.
