Israeli occupation leaders should be charge with terrorism and prosecuted for crimes against humanity, member of Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran said.
Badran’s remarks came in a response to a joint press conference held by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert a day earlier on the sidelines of a UN Security Council session in New York to discuss the Trump administration’s deal.
“Just like [Israeli PM Benjamin] Netanyahu, [former Israeli PM Yitzhak] Rabin, and Olmert, along with their military officers and soldiers are a group of murderers and terrorists,” Badran added.
The senior Hamas official called for prosecuting Israeli leaders in international courts for terrorism and crimes against humanity, saying: “We’re fighting them just because they are occupiers.”
“Thousands of martyrs, injured people, detainees, and owners of demolished homes and confiscated properties bear witness to their brutality,” Badran concluded, reiterating that the Palestinian people have a duty to resist the occupation.
