Hamas Political Bureau member Mousa Dudeen has denied news reports about a breakthrough in the efforts to reach a prisoner exchange deal with the Israeli occupation.

In a press release on Sunday evening, Dudeen stressed that Hamas has not received any serious or practical response from the Israeli occupation in this regard, welcoming any efforts that could pave the way for a new prisoner exchange deal.

The senior Hamas official reiterated the intuitive proposed by Hamas chief in Gaza Yahiya al-Sinwar to release Palestinian detainees from Israeli jails in a true prisoner swap agreement.
