Hamas welcomes HRW statement on Israeli discriminatory policies

12 May, 20

Hamas welcomes the statement issued by Human Rights Watch (HRW) on May 12, 2020 about discriminatory policies adopted by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, the indigenous landowners living in the 1948 occupied territories.

This statement confirms that racist policies and oppression practiced against Palestinian residents of the 1948 occupied territories have been part of a institutional vision and doctrine of Israeli leadership since the establishment of the Israeli occupation.

Such policies have been systematically and strictly followed by the Israeli occupation over the past seven decades across historic Palestine, leaving the Palestinian people isolated in ghettos, where their aspirations for development or response to natural expansion requirements have been suppressed.

On the 72nd anniversary of Palestinian Nakbah, Hamas stresses that this fascist and racist occupation will vanish sooner or later, just like all fascist and racist regimes throughout history, calling on the international community and all free people around the globe to support the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom, return, and independence, and exert all forms of pressure on the Israeli occupation to prevent it from continuing its racist practices and hold it accountable for its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
