Hamas held on Friday afternoon a massive demonstration in Khanyounis in southern Gaza to protest against Israeli plans to annex news parts from the occupied West Bank, as part of a series of events to face off this move.
Speaking at the protest, Salah al-Bardawil, member of Hamas Political Bureau, said that the Israeli occupation is exploiting normalisation with some Arab regimes and internal Arab division to commit new crimes against the Palestinian people, including its annexation plan.
Al-Bardawil expressed his movement’s rejection to the Israeli annexation plan, affirming that this crime would not go unpunished.
The Hamas official called for restoring Palestinian unity on the basis of national partnership and the option of resisting the occupation.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians have attended the massive rally, organised by Hamas, to voice their rejection of the planned Israeli annexation of the occupied West Bank and Jordan Valley.
