Hamas held on Wednesday evening a sit-in in Gaza in solidarity with the Lebanese people after an explosion at the Beirut port killed dozens of people and injured hundreds others.
The sit-in was attended by scores of Palestinian citizens holding posters and chanting slogans in solidarity with the Lebanese people following the tragic incident at the port.
Delivering a speech at the sit-in, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said that the Palestinian people have expressed their solidarity with Lebanon, highlighting the country’s positions in support of the Palestinian cause.
Qasem restated his movement’s solidarity with Lebanon following the terrifying blast at the Biuret port, offering his sincere condolences to the victims’ families and wishing the wounded a fast and full recovery.
Hamas has called on all Palestinian segments in Lebanon to immediately support the Lebanese people as much as they can, including providing medical aid and donating blood, Qasem stressed.
