Hamas condemns Bahrain’s preparedness to import goods from Israeli settlements

Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement condemned Bahrain’s openness to import goods from illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Earlier this week, the Bahraini Industry, Commerce, and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid stated that his country draws no distinction between Israeli goods produced within the Israeli occupation or in the settlements in occupied West Bank.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem considered Bahrain’s willingness to import products by the Israeli settlements “an actual support to the Israeli occupation that displaces the Palestinian people”.

“This contradicts the International Law and resolutions [which label the West Bank as occupied Palestinian territories],” Qasem added.
