The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourned on Sunday the death of Sheikh Nabil al-Bishtawi, who passed away in the West Bank city of Nablus.
Citing his record of serving his people and cause, Hamas stated that al-Bishtawi was one of the first members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine and one of the movement’s founders.
He was expelled by the Israeli occupation to Marj al-Zohour in southern Lebanon along with dozens of fellow members and Palestinian figures in 1992.
Hamas offered its sincere condolences to the deceased, his loved ones and residents of Nablus.
