The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas submitted on Monday to Central Elections Commission its electoral list for parliamentary elections.
“We hope these elections will offer a path to end the division,” member of Hamas Political Bureau Dr Khalil al-Haya said as his movement submitted their list of candidates in the Gaza City.
Hamas named its list as "Al Quds is our destiny."
Parliamentary election has been called for 22 May and a presidential election on 31 July.
Hamas achieved a resounding victory in 2006 election, the last parliamentary elections held in occupied territories, but the result was not recognised by Fatah, Israeli occupation, US, Western countries and many Arab countries leading to major division among the Palestinians.
