Hamas chief meets leaders of Mauritanian political parties

Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, accompanied by a senior Hamas delegation, met at his residence in the Mauritanian capital a number of leaders of Mauritanian political parties. 

Hamas chief met the Mauritanian opposition, Ibrahim Bakay, Head and a senior delegation of the National Rally for Reform and Development Party.

Hamas delegation then met the head and senior delegation of the Union of the Forces of Progress, head and a senior delegation of the Mauritanian Party of Union and Change, head and a senior delegation of the National Rally for Reform and Development Party and head of the National Democratic Alliance Party along with a senior delegation of the Party.

Hamas delegation listened to the Mauritanian parties' appreciation and praise for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, their response and confrontation to the occupation plans, and the affirmation of the Mauritanian parties' support for the Palestinian right.

The leaders of the Mauritanian parties affirmed that Jerusalem is the cause of the entire Nation and that they support the Palestinian people's adherence to their right and their rejection of any prejudice to their land and homeland.

For its part, the Hamas delegation briefed the visiting delegations on the political developments that preceded, accompanied and followed the battle of "Sword Al-Quds", its consequences, and the movement’s strategy to deal with these changes on the basis of achieving the unity of the Palestinian people and strengthening the resistance program, and working to isolate the occupation in the region and at the international level and to confront it with all available means.

The delegation also reviewed the reality of the Palestinian people's conditions in their various locations as a result of the occupation crimes and its unjust racist policies. It also assured the need to move to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and to restore their national rights.
