Hamas refuses to turn Lebanon's Palestinian refugee camps into battlefield

Head of Hamas Political Bureau Abroad, Khaled Meshal, has said that his movement respects Lebanon's sovereignty, adding that last week's killing of three Palestinians in Burj Shemali camp will not turn Palestinian refugees camps into a battlefield.

While meeting with the families of the Palestinians killed by Palestinian Authority security forces in Sidon, Meshal stressed that the perpetrators of this crime would not go unpunished.

Meshal called on Fatah Movement to extend its condolences to the victims' families and offer compensation for them.

"Following the "Sword of Al-Quds" battle, the Palestinian people have set foot on the final stage of liberating Palestine," Meshal confirmed.

The former Hamas chief explained that the Arab regimes that normalized ties with the Israeli occupation have let down the Palestinian people and cause.
