Head of Hamas National Relations Abroad, Ali Baraka, said that the national dialogue held in Algeria is a golden opportunity to heal the Palestinian rift.
Ali Baraka said that his movement is keen on achieving national unity and rearranging the Palestinian home, noting that the movement mobilizes efforts in preparation for comprehensive resistance against the Israeli occupation.
He noted that Hamas hopes that the national dialogue held in Algeria would strengthen the spirit of partnership and national unity. “Hamas hopes this dialogue would end up with rearranging the Palestinian Home based on national and democratic values.”
Baraka welcomed the Algerian invitation and thanked Algeria’s leadership for its efforts to heal the Palestinian division and achieve unity.
The Hamas official said that his movement’s delegation had handed over the vision to achieve the intra-Palestinian reconciliation to Algerian officials yesterday after the meeting was held.
“We, in Hamas movement, think that it is necessary to heal the Palestinian division and achieve national unity based on a resistance program.”
Baraka explained that healing the Palestinian division starts with holding presidential, legislative, and national council elections and forming a new executive committee for the Palestinian Liberation Organisation.
Baraka said all Palestinian factions should participate in the reformation of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation.
He reiterated Hamas’s absolute rejection of excluding any Palestinian faction and confirmed that all should be engaged in making national decisions.
