Hamas deplores Azerbaijan's decision to open embassy in Israeli occupation state

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has condemned Azerbaijan's decision to open an embassy in "Tel Aviv".

In a press statement Saturday, Hamas official Basem Naim regretted that such a move came as the Israeli occupation has sworn in the most far-right, fascist, and terrorist government, which has threatened to commit "heinous crimes against our Palestinian people and detainees and their holy sites."

Naim explained that the Israeli occupation has long used such moves as a cover to implement its malicious schemes aimed at grabbing Palestinian land, Judaizing the Muslim and Christian holy sites, and denying the Palestinian people their most basic rights.
The Hamas official called on the Azerbaijani parliament and government to backtrack on such a move and endorse the Palestinian people's struggle for freedom and independence.
