Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has warned against the repercussions of Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the West Bank, increasing summary execution against Palestinians, and repeated attacks at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a meeting held with journalists in Doha, Haniyeh explained that all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause have failed and the Palestinian people across Palestine continue to stand steadfast against Israeli attacks and violations.

The head of the Hamas political bureau highlighted the impact of regional and international political developments on the Palestinian cause.

“There are three major developments concerning the Palestinian cause—the escalating resistance in the West Bank, the reconciliations between many countries in the region, the political unrest inside the Israeli occupation state, and the formation of a multi-pole international system,” Haniyeh added.

The top Hamas official emphasized that the escalating wave of resistance in the West Bank, especially in Jerusalem, is an important pillar of the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation.

Haniyeh also explained that the strategy of the Hamas movement toward such developments includes three major points—continue resistance against the Israeli occupation, promote Palestinian unity based on resisting the Israeli occupation, and mobilise efforts with all countries to support the Palestinian cause.
