Statement on 41st anniversary of Sabra and Shatila massacre

| Statements

Today marks the 41st anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila gruesome massacre perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian refugees in Sabra and Shatila Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

During this massacre, the Israeli occupation forces executed more than five thousand refugees in an appalling crime that bears witness to the Israeli occupation’s sadistic and barbaric nature.

On this tragic anniversary, Hamas salutes all Palestinian martyrs who were killed in this massacre.

Hamas also reiterates that the Israeli occupation's attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue are doomed to failure.

The Palestinian people everywhere will remain committed to their rights and constants and will continue to defend their lands until liberating their homeland, returning to their homes and establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
